Website traffic basically will tell you how many users visit your site. The idea is that the more traffic you get, the more opportunities you have to convert those visitors into paying customers. Website conversion rates are very important but it won´t matter if you don´t have any traffic to begin with. Yes, traffic is your number one priority, but you might be wondering how do I do this? Well, sometimes you need to think outside the box to generate more traffic to your website and the most common way to achieve this is paid advertisement. Oh, yes we are talking about paid search, channels etc., everything and anything you can think of that will get your site in front of people; paid ads will do the trick for you to achieve this goal.

Another way to drive traffic to your site is social media; it is not enough to create great content and hope people will find it. You need to use all the tools you have available and that is: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, even LinkedIn… the more the better. There is no magic formula for promoting your site, you can create blogs and write about interesting topics that will drive leads to your site, optimize your content for search engines, go after referral traffic, go for email marketing, get listed on directories, and include hashtags in all your post, use landing pages and more. To optimize the traffic you are getting include calls to action and lead capture forms in the right places, provide the information that your visitor are seeking and make navigation intuitive, you can even spy on your competitors to understand better which marketing channels you should prioritize, add products, sales and content on your website on a regular basis, host exclusive content; as we said before there is no rule book, no magic formula… the more traffic you get the better; traffic is an indicator of business growth. You need to focus on getting the right kind of traffic to your website, the one that is associated with an increase in engagement that will eventually turn into sells.
